As we said above, if you do not know what is poured into the engine, or want to change the brand of lubricant, the engine must be flushed. This need is due to the fact that it is impossible to completely drain the liquid; at the same time, you cannot mix different oils, since they may be incompatible with each other.
We unscrew the oil filler cap and wait until the liquid has completely drained.
The process of flushing the engine largely depends on what product you will use for this. For example, when using an additive, the so-called five-minute additive, it must be poured into the oil intake neck until the oil drains and then let the engine idle. Then drain the lubricant and additive. To do this, unscrew the plug on the crankcase using a 17mm wrench and immediately place the prepared container. Then you need to unscrew the oil filler cap and wait until the liquid drains completely.
To allow oil to drain from the oil pump, disconnect the wire from the ignition coil and turn the starter a couple of revolutions, i.e. turn the key as if you were starting a car. The main thing is not to forget to turn off the coil, otherwise the car will start with all the ensuing consequences.
If flushing is carried out using flushing oil, after draining the old lubricant, you need to tighten the plug and fill in the liquid. Further actions depend on the type of flushing fluid. If it acts like “five minutes”, the engine needs to be started and let it idle for several minutes. There are also flushing fluids on which the car must travel about 100 km. Keep in mind that such a lubricant has poor protective properties, so the car must be operated in a gentle mode, i.e. as when running in.
Before using flushing fluid, be sure to read the manufacturer's instructions. Improper use can lead to engine failure.
