Spark plugs VAZ 2110/2111/2112
VAZ 2110/2111/2112 cars are the tenth series of domestic cars produced since 1995.
Such cars were produced only with gasoline engines (injector and carburetor). Spark plugs for each car of the tenth family come with different part numbers, but in fact they are very similar in size and parameters. The differences in spark plugs on these three cars are due to different engines, although all of them are developed on the basis of a 1.5-liter 8-valve carburetor engine from a dozen.
The VAZ subsidiary Lada Image supplies original spark plugs to the assembly line. The original spare part is sold in Lada branded packaging. But the manufacturer is the domestic company OJSC ZAZS, Engels.
fills the candles with fuel
Hello, please tell me if anyone knows or has encountered this. On a VAZ 2110, an 8-valve injector fills the spark plugs with fuel when the engine is cold. I did diagnostics in 3 places, they all find different reasons, they take money, and in the morning everything starts all over again. The trunk is full of spark plugs from expensive to cheap, new armored wires, the module is working, the compression is normal, the fuel pressure is also normal, the spark is even and clear. They also suggested changing the air flow sensor and coolant temperature sensor, supposedly the computer does not understand the temperature and is pouring gasoline like a fool. The air flow sensor changed 2 pieces. The liquid temperature sensor remains. Can you please tell me if this could be the case?
Change the temp sensor. And most importantly, buy and install an on-board computer. STATE » > He shows everything.
what kind of ecu costs what compression in the engine what is the mileage and what kind of injectors are used if they have a mileage of more than 80t km.
2 oleg 111 what are the signs of punctuating the gaps is completely insufficient and so everything is clear

Was the diagnostic done on a computer or did the guys use a screwdriver to call? Which sensor was the computer at fault with? It is quite possible that the problem is somewhere in the electrical wiring or an oxidized terminal.
A temperature sensor can easily lead to this result. It makes sense to inspect its wiring for oxidation and breaks.
Yes, there are no cliffs there, “Service” is on fire on the cliffs. Loss of sensor readings - that is, you need to look at the adequacy of the sensor readings when cold with a scanner.
If the “diagnosticians” cannot check the adequacy of the temperature sensor readings, they will have to do it themselves. find a resistor with a resistance of 100-200 ohms. disconnect the connector from the temperature sensor (it has a two-pin connector; the one-pin connector goes to the dash. Don’t confuse it!) and connect this resistor to the connector. the integrated engine management system will evaluate this as a high engine temperature and begin to pour less fuel. if there is a variable resistor, then you can catch the resistance at which the engine will start without problems. for reference » > if the specified method helps, change the sensor. If not, then you need to additionally check the system, and do it yourself. “diagnosticians” are not always interested in correctly identifying faults. There are plenty of scanner programs on the Internet. go for it.
100 pounds is to blame for the air sensor. I experienced it on my own skin. BC STATE didn’t show anything. He said that the engine was faulty. I changed the wires and the spark plugs and no shit. The spark plugs were flooded on a cold engine. When I completely lost hope, a competent specialist directed me onto the right path.
If you're interested, I can give you more details.
I have 2112. With a mileage of 140 thousand, the engine pulled at half strength. I changed the fuel pressure sensor and the fuel pump. And I'm flying again. I changed the DMVR just because the cold engine stalled immediately after starting. Of course, I didn’t check the spark plugs at that moment. I change them every 30-40 thousand.
pechkin wrote: Was the diagnostics computer-based or did the guys use a screwdriver to call?
What difference does it make what they called? The decision is made not by the device, but by the person. if the “diagnostician” does not know the principles of the system’s operation, but tries to change what the diagnostics pointed out to him, but this “specialist” is worthless. for example, (I won’t die of modesty, I know
) there was a computer with all the cords, adapters, programs. lost. Now, if possible, I call with a paper clip. for particularly suspicious clients - a wire with an LED (the LED is not connected). like, cooler.

And what kind of “brains” are Diagnostic codes for controllers M7.9.7, January 7.2: P0112 Low level of intake air temperature sensor P0113 High level of intake air temperature sensor P0116 DTOZH. most likely the DTOZH if it floods in the warm-up mode. But then the idle mode begins. And then the mass air flow sensor begins to lie in full force, and the ECU begins to pour in. (on Bosh 1.5.4 it seems exactly.)
I have January 5.1. I changed the DTOZH and DMVR, the same story, today I went for diagnostics (started it from a tug) and the computer showed that everything was fine. The technician said that maybe something with the program needs to be re-flashed. I wanted to flash it, but the adapter was blocked, or it said the injectors need to be cleaned (mileage 84 thousand), it’s unlikely that they were cleaned before, I’ve had the car for a year, I haven’t cleaned it. It seems like the repair is already done at random, but the “master” said he won’t take the money until he fixes it. There’s nowhere to go, our city is small, there are few specialists. And in every service they beat themselves in the chest and crap on the previous one, they’ll rip off the money and the result is zero.
Patience to you. The cars are still good! Well, sometimes they fool around a little. Sometimes there are difficulties with them, but they are only more expensive.
thanks for the support, we'll fix the hardware anyway
2sablin, before washing the injectors, let the technician look at the injector opening time or performance. if productivity is below 100 g/min. during opening more than 5 ms. then wash the injectors! It’s better to wash even if one of the parameters is out of norm. What to wash with is your choice. I recommend removal and visual inspection.
and here’s another note: » > » > » >
I hope it helps. It's very difficult to give the right hint on the forum - if you don't see the car, you can't touch it. This is akin to treatment using photography.
If you are not far from Samara, I will send you a link.
150 km, I also started thinking about Samara
And how much is it when cold? -20 and below? Don’t worry, I had the same thing with the standard firmware - they were too clever at the VAZ - some idiot decided that it was necessary to pour more fuel asynchronously (yes, almost 2 times compared to minus 10). I re-flashed it, removing the completely asynchronous fuel supply at the inlet after minus 15 degrees and made seven sparks at start-up - -32 degrees - easy! But you can start it without reflashing - squeeze the clutch, gas to the floor, turn the starter, slowly releasing the gas pedal until it starts to set. The meaning of this is that when the gas is pressed more than 60% at start-up, the purge mode is activated - the controller turns off the injectors, and there is plenty of air. By releasing the gas, we reduce the air and do not allow the engine to choke on gasoline - an excess of air flows through the slightly open air damper and gradually the composition of the mixture becomes optimal - the engine starts. But this must be done immediately upon start-up, otherwise if the spark plugs flood, it will not help. I reflashed it myself, at home on my computer, soldering a simple K-line adapter with 3 transistors to the COM port (like I spent 32 rubles on all the parts)
Spark plugs for VAZ 2110, 2111, 2112 – which ones to put on the injector and carburetor
The spark plugs on the VAZ 2110/2111/2112 have a nickel central electrode, single-pin. For the VAZ 2110 the base engine is an 8-valve carburetor, for the 2111 it is also an 8-valve engine, but with an injector, and for the VAZ 2112 it is a 16-valve, injection engine. But in fact, each car was equipped with all these engines and their modifications. Therefore, spark plugs differ in the context of the 3 main base engines.
On each engine, the spark plugs have different markings, but for an 8-valve engine with an injector and carburetor they are the same and differ only in the size of the gap. Therefore, they can be interchanged by first setting the required gap. For VAZ carburetor engines, it is recommended to set it somewhere within 0.7 mm, but on injectors - 1 mm.
16-valve power units already have spark plugs that are slightly different from the previous ones. Therefore, it is not recommended to install them on 8-valve engines.
The dimensions and article numbers of the original candles are presented in the table below.
vendor code | Engine | Thread / thread length, mm | Key size | Gap, mm | Heat number* | Center electrode material |
21080-3707010-86 | 8 valves, carburetor | M14x1.25 / 19 | 20.8 | 0.7 | 17 | Nickel |
21110-3707010-86 | 8 valves, injector | M14x1.25 / 19 | 20.8 | 1 | 17 | Nickel |
2112-3707010-01 | 16 valves, injector | M14x1.25 / 19 | 16 | 1 | 17 | Nickel |
*according to Champion nomenclature
In fact, under the article numbers 21080-3707010-86 and 21110-3707010-86, which go to 8-valve valves, there is the same model of spark plug, only with a different gap. Directly from the manufacturer, it has the article number A17DVRM, the average price is 140 rubles/piece. And under the article number 2112-3707010-01 (for 16 valves) there is a spark plug AU17DVRM, the average price is 200 rubles/piece.
The most commonly used substitutes are listed below. Ten and eleven have the same analogues, only before installation it is recommended to check the gap and, if necessary, set it to the recommended values.
Manufacturer | vendor code | Price, rub (for 1 piece) |
For 8 valve engines, injector and carburetor
Bosch | 0242235663 | 100 |
NGK | BPR6ES | 140 |
Denso | W20EPR-U | 100 |
For 16-valve injectors
BRISK | DR15YC | 70 |
NGK | BCPR6E-11 | 150 |
Denso | Q20PR-U11 | 115 |
It is worth saying that NGK spark plugs are a favorite among owners of these cars. They have the highest popularity and the most positive reviews.
From the factory, the VAZs in question are equipped with ordinary nickel spark plugs, which do not have the longest service life and have a low ignition rate of the fuel-air mixture. Therefore, drivers often resort to installing more expensive spark plugs with iridium thin electrodes. The cars in question are most often equipped with such spare parts from Denso. For VAZs with 8-valve engines, this is the IW20 model at a price of 590 rubles/piece. And for a car with a 16-valve engine - IK20 with a price of 520 rubles/piece.
Studies show that such candles have a “hotter” white spark. And due to the fact that the iridium electrode is several times thinner, the spark does not dissipate. In practice, there is a slight improvement in the dynamic characteristics of the motor, as well as a 3-4 times increased service life.
Spark plugs are used in LADA (VAZ) 2110
The modern version of the car is significantly different from the previously presented models. The manufacturer took into account the shortcomings and did maximum work to eliminate them. Today, the body parts are galvanized, which protects it from damage, the brake discs are ventilated, the steering column is adjustable, there is an on-board monitoring system and an immobilizer.
The first models were equipped with a carburetor engine with a displacement of 1.5 liters and 69 horsepower, unit index VAZ-21083. The subsequent ones include an improved engine with a fuel injection system and electronic control. It is distinguished by the presence of eight valves, a volume of 1.5 liters and a power of 79 horsepower. Fuel consumption is moderate.
What spark plugs to install in a VAZ 2110
Engine | Spark plug | Gap, mm. |
21083-80 | 2110 – A17DVRM, FE65CPR | 1,0-1,15 |
2111-16 | 2111-00 – A17DVRM, AC.R42XLS

When to change spark plugs in a VAZ 2110?
This question worries every car owner. You can find the answer to this in the instruction manual. The manufacturer recommends carrying out this procedure every 30 thousand km. But, as practice shows, replacing spark plugs is necessary before the specified date. After only 15-20 thousand km they become unusable. It is easy to determine that the spark plugs need to be replaced. Engine performance will deteriorate, it will float at idle, and fuel consumption will increase. If you do not install new spare parts, then carbon deposits will form on them, the spark will become poor quality, and a flash will appear. As a result, the car simply will not start.

The ignition system is one of the main control systems of the vehicle's power unit. It is designed for timely ignition of the fuel mixture.
The spark plug is a very important and rather capricious element of an internal combustion engine. The stability and efficiency of the engine depends on the correct choice of spark plug. You can learn about the main characteristics that you should pay attention to when purchasing from the article below.
The spark plug has long been the subject of jokes and has been played up many times in driver folklore, and this is not surprising - spark plugs play an important role in a car and sometimes cause a lot of problems for drivers. Read about what spark plugs are, what they are, how they are characterized, and how often they need to be replaced.
avtoexperts.ru
If you get behind the wheel and find that the engine won’t start, don’t be discouraged. Maybe your spark plugs are just flooded. This problem especially often arises in the winter season, which already causes a lot of trouble for motorists. Most often, spark plugs are filled with gasoline, sometimes with oil. You need to understand how and why this happens, then you can act proactively and avoid a situation where the car cannot be started. Well, if everything has already happened, then it would be nice to know how to return the spark plugs to working condition and start the engine.
Symptoms and mechanism of flooding
When it comes to flooded spark plugs, it does not matter what we are dealing with: a carburetor or an injector. Both engine types are not protected from flooding. Its consequences are unpleasant because they do not allow the engine to start. At the same time, it may smell like gasoline, the starter may crank, but most importantly, traces of a foreign substance can be easily detected on the spark plugs themselves: gasoline, oil or carbon deposits. To assess the condition of the spark plugs, they must be unscrewed.
The filling mechanism is quite simple. The fuel supplied to operate the engine does not ignite. The spark plugs get wet, and this prevents the engine from starting normally.
Seven reasons to fill candles when cold
If you decided to start the engine, but nothing happened, and instead you found spark plugs stained with gasoline, then this could happen for the following reasons:
1. Insufficiently charged battery. Even if at positive temperatures the battery coped with its tasks without problems, the onset of frost could radically change the situation. It is enough for the battery to be discharged by 50%. Even with this indicator, there may not be enough power to start the engine.
2. Cylinder wear. A worn-out engine cannot run perfectly, so it is not surprising that new engines have insufficient cylinder compression. In combination with other factors, this can lead to flooded candles.
3. Old spark plugs. It is not for nothing that this part is consumable and requires regular monitoring and, if necessary, replacement. If you do not change the spark plugs for a long time, then defects appear on them, which can prevent spark formation, which is so necessary to start the engine.
4. Malfunction of structural elements of the ignition system. Faulty wires and soured contacts can be one of the reasons that caused spark plugs to flood.
5. Poor quality fuel. This does not mean that you were deceived and sold bad gasoline. The point is that in winter there are a number of factors that can negatively affect the quality of fuel.
For example, the formation of condensation in the fuel tank and its entry into gasoline. As a result, the fuel does not ignite at the right time, which becomes one of the reasons for “wet” spark plugs.
6. Unsuitable engine oil. If we are talking about winter, then you need to use oil with a viscosity that will not load the engine, otherwise this will become another factor creating conditions for flooding.
7. Accumulation of carbon deposits in the combustion chamber. Short trips in the city do not allow the engine to “breathe”. As a result, carbon deposits form, which settles in a thick layer on the walls of the combustion chamber. The mobility of the piston rings decreases, and with it the compression in the cylinders. As a preventative measure, it is necessary to run the engine at high speeds. Sometimes, to return the piston rings to mobility, special flushing of the system is required.
Sometimes it happens that there is a spark and the starter rotates normally, but gasoline still pours out. In this case, it is necessary to carry out diagnostics to determine the serviceability of the spark plugs. In rare cases, the problem may be in the ECU itself.
Engine oil on spark plugs
Gasoline is not the only liquid that can be found on spark plugs. Sometimes they are filled with motor oil. Again, this can happen to both the injector and the carburetor. It is important which part of the candle contains traces of oil. If the top of the spark plug is dirty, the problem is most likely related to the valve cover gasket. If oil is observed at the bottom of the spark plug, then you need to take care of the condition of the engine and the compression in it. Read about the reasons for the appearance of oil on candles in the article
First aid when pouring candles
If you follow the manufacturer's instructions, the entire procedure for solving the problem can be presented in a few steps.
Which spark plugs are better for the VAZ-2112 injector 16 valves: survey
Before replacing the spark plugs on their car, most car enthusiasts ask themselves the question, which spark plugs are best to choose? Fortunately, there are many of them in stores. In our article we will tell you in detail how to approach this issue competently, focusing on the choice of the majority of car owners.
The video provides an overview of popular spark plug models for the VAZ-2112:
Reasons why candles flood
- The candles have served their purpose. Old spark plugs are not able to produce a powerful spark and thus are not able to ignite the fuel as required. In this case, you need to replace the spark plugs.
- Ignition module. Although this is a reliable element, it does not last forever. Its price is high and in order not to waste money and time, replace it with a known good one . If the car starts, then feel free to go to the store for a new part.
- Injectors are the most vulnerable element of the fuel system. At high mileage, the injector nozzles become clogged and the fuel from them begins to not spray, but simply flow, thereby flooding the spark plugs. There is only one way out. Remove the injectors and take them for diagnostics.
- Coolant sensor. Perhaps the most incomprehensible reason at first glance. Let's figure it out: when starting the engine, this sensor sends a signal to the computer (electronic engine control unit). The sensor transmits the coolant temperature to the computer and, based on this reading, it determines how much fuel to supply. If the coolant sensor is faulty, it will produce incorrect values , and the computer, in turn, will either not add fuel or supply an excessive amount of fuel. In both cases, it will be difficult to start the car , and in cold weather when this is added to the oil that has frozen in the crankcase. This makes starting the engine very difficult.
When to change spark plugs on a 16-valve VAZ-2112?
Each spark plug manufacturer has its own schedule for periodically replacing spark plugs. However, the service life of 20-30 thousand kilometers for cars of the VAZ family is generally similar. However, if any interruptions occur during engine operation, as well as other reasons why it is necessary to replace the spark plugs, it is recommended not to delay and carry them out.
What to choose?
For the VAZ-2112 there are many different brands of spark plugs, which differ in type, composition and appearance. Therefore, what exactly to choose is up to you, and below we will tell you about each of those that are most often chosen by the owners of “two-wheelers.”
- JSC ZAZS, Russia AU17DVRM
- BERU, Germany 14FR-7DU
- CHAMPION, England RC9YC
- NGK, Japan BCPR6ES-11
- DENSO, Japan Q20TT
- BRISK, Czech Republic DR15YC
- BOSCH, Germany FR7DCU
- FINWHALE, Germany F516
Spark plugs from ZAZS.
Standard spark plugs that are supplied with all VAZ cars from the factory. Despite the fact that the manufacturer recommends replacing only this model of spark plugs, many car enthusiasts do not share this opinion and use other brands.
Spark plugs from BERU.
BERU 14FR-7DU spark plugs have a special modification in the form of a copper central electrode with a nickel shell. This design increases resistance to wear and corrosion. The conical shape of the skirt allows you to very quickly switch to self-cleaning mode, which has a beneficial effect when traveling short distances in the city. Thanks to the increased spark power, the fuel burns most efficiently to the maximum - and this is already tuning the ignition system and engine.
Champion
Spark plugs from Champion.
Made in the EU, Champion RC9YC spark plugs offer low fuel consumption, high stability and increased power at high engine speeds.
Spark plugs from NGK.
Japanese candles NGK BCPR6ES-11 are among the most affordable on the market in the price category.
An engine with such spark plugs runs very stable, and with the throttle valve open to full, it can develop 4.5% more power than with standard spark plugs. When tested on a stand, it shows a result in fuel consumption that is 3.9% less than the “stock” figure.
Denso
Spark plugs from Denso.
DENSO Q20TT has a thin electrode made not from precious metals, which primarily has a beneficial effect on its cost. Thanks to this spark plug shape, the engine experiences a steady increase in power, acceleration and dynamics come to life, as well as a reduction in fuel consumption.
Many owners of the VAZ-2112 note the smoothest and most stable operation of the engine at idle speed.
Brisk
Spark plug from Brisk
Brisk DR15YC made in the Czech Republic, has a copper core and an extended central electrode insulator. The latter allows it to quickly switch to self-cleaning mode, so this spark plug is well suited for cars operated in urban environments. The interval for replacing spark plugs directly depends on the type and quality of fuel used.
Bosch
Spark plug from Bosch.
Bosch FR7DCU have a copper core in their design, placed in a chromium-nickel shell, which increases the electrode's resistance to corrosion and erosion. Nickel coating prevents sticking of threads and protects the spark plug body from the harmful effects of aggressive environments. The spark plug from this company showed stable, average results in terms of fuel consumption and acceleration dynamics.
Which spark plugs are best for a VAZ-2114: 8 valve injector
In the ignition system of the VAZ-2114, spark plugs are in the leading place, because it depends on them how the engine starts after turning the ignition key. Therefore, it is to this detail, like no other, that much more attention should be paid during selection. And in this article we will tell you in detail about the design of the spark plug for the VAZ-2114, as well as how to choose the right one.
Video about choosing spark plugs for an injection engine
Features and design of the VAZ-2114 spark plug
Bosch spark plugs with white carbon removed from a VAZ-2114
Spark plugs for VAZ cars, and VAZ-2114 in particular, are no different from each other; in the same way, when they receive a 24 kV they generate a spark, thereby igniting the fuel in the combustion chamber. However, the main and most important structural element in each spark plug will be the central electrode, because it will ensure ignition of the fuel at a certain stage of startup.
The electrode must be made of heat-resistant, plastic and corrosion-resistant material.
It is usually made from all kinds of nickel alloys, but models with a more expensive price tag, in order to increase efficiency, can contain palladium, copper, iridium, platinum, silver and even gold. All this, according to manufacturers, was created for easier starting and the acquisition of individual properties of the candle.
When to change spark plugs?
If you want to change the spark plugs, then this issue should be approached extremely carefully and thoroughly, because the efficiency of their operation, overall fuel consumption and the transmitted power from the engine to the wheels depend on this choice.
- Numerous tests show that correctly selected spark plugs for a certain type of engine not only extend its overall service life, but also improve its performance.
Breakdown on the spark plug insulator
The manual from the VAZ-2114 states that the spark plugs must be changed every 30,000 kilometers , because after this the wear of the electrodes of the factory spark plugs changes and the car behaves completely differently on the road, due to an increase in fuel consumption and a decrease in power.
The condition of the spark plug and the ignition system can be determined with confidence by its appearance, depending on the condition of the electrode (presence of soot, soot, color - approx.).
Visual inspection of spark plugs
This table will help you roughly find out what kind of soot it is:

Which spark plugs are best for the VAZ-2114 (survey)?
Today, the choice of spark plugs is very large, and choosing the ones that need to be installed is not so easy.
On most forums, owners of VAZ-2114 cars are most often advised by the following manufacturers: “NGK”, “Finwhale” “Champion” “Brisk Premium” “Bosch Platinum”, “DENSO” .
Remember that the best spark and the greatest amount of heat will be given by the spark plug that has the thinnest electrode, 0.4-0.8 mm in size, and they are usually made from alloys of iridium, platinum, palladium and gold.
Also, the situation with a spark that has a coating of platinum, silver or gold on its body has the best effect. For comparison, the “stock” spark plug from DVRM has a thickness of 2.5 mm, while on imported analogues it barely exceeds 0.6-0.8 mm, so there is no point in talking about any competition here.
Video about how to avoid falling into fake candles
Pay special attention to the integrity of the packaging, as well as the cost of the goods, because counterfeits, which are quite common today, can be sold at a discount from the average market price. Therefore, always remove each candle from its individual box and inspect it more carefully.
Spark plug manufacturers
Below, we will present each spark plug manufacturer separately to make it easier for you to choose.
- Candles A-17DVRM Engels - spark plugs from this particular manufacturer are installed directly from the factory and have a service life of 30 thousand kilometers. VAZ 2112: if the spark plugs are flooded, it is important to understand why
VAZ 2112 spark plugs are filled, gasoline is on the electrodes and threads
The VAZ 2112 spark plugs flood and the engine does not start, a very unpleasant phenomenon that happens more often during cold weather. The disease is common, taking a lot of nerves and time from car owners. This simple instruction will tell you how to overcome such a disease, let's start with the reasons.
As always, there are several reasons for this phenomenon, now we will deal with them, as well as with ways to eliminate them. When the spark plugs are filled with gasoline (they look like in the photo above), it doesn’t really matter whether you have a carburetor or an injector. This occurs regardless of the type of fuel system installed on the vehicle:
- A special feature is that the spark plugs are filled with gasoline much less often in warm weather; this often happens at subzero temperatures.
- First, let's try to figure everything out in order: why the VAZ 2112 spark plugs were flooded, what needs to be done in such a situation to start the engine, when such a situation has already occurred and the spark plugs are wet, how to prevent (avoid) such a situation.
- And in order for you to know what to do if the spark plugs do get wet, and to understand what causes such a problem, you need to study the processes that occur in the engine after you turn the key in the ignition switch
- The whole process begins with the starter, which is a small electric motor; after turning the key, power is supplied to its relay, the relay pushes the bendix into engagement with the flywheel crown, at the same time power is supplied to the starter motor, and it begins to rotate the engine
- From this into the combustion chambers, which are designed to burn a combustible mixture of fuel and air
- Such a mixture enters, which is delivered there by valves and pistons that were “awakened” by the starter
- The spark plug gives a spark into the filled chamber, from the spark the combustible mixture compressed by the piston ignites, resulting in a micro-explosion
- The energy obtained in this way launches the entire chain of remaining cylinders into a single whole.
- Therefore, it is not at all difficult to guess that in the absence of a spark, which is formed by the spark plug, the engine will not be able to work
- You should know that in damp or cold weather, ignition of the combustible mixture may not occur, even if you have perfectly working spark plugs
- When the ambient temperature drops below minus 15 degrees, then the mixture entering the combustion chambers is cooled so much that the required heating reaction is not achieved; without heating, allowing the spark to operate normally, ignition becomes impossible
- In this case, the mixture floods the candles, and this causes them to stop functioning.
Replacing spark plugs
Spark plugs on the VAZ 2110 2114 engine 8 valves are located in the front wall of the engine.
1. Disconnect the wire from the “—” terminal of the battery
2. When removing the tip from the spark plug, do not pull on the wires. Proceed as shown in the photo. If all lugs need to be removed, mark the high voltage wires first. Each wire belongs to a specific cylinder.
3. Wipe the candle niches. (Dirt may enter through the spark plug holes into the block)
4. Carefully unscrew the spark plug with a special wrench (a spark plug or a suitable “21” socket). If the spark plug does not budge due to carbon deposits, spray WD-40 into the threaded hole to avoid damaging the thread.
