    As paradoxical as it may sound, in addition to battery malfunction, the reasons may also be abnormal zones where the key fob signals are jammed. These are places located near large factories and factories, large metal objects, etc.

    What malfunctions occur most often?

    What to do if the car alarm blocks the engine and you can’t unlock it yourself? Why does the device act up and not work as it should? What should I do if the system closes but does not open the doors?

    First of all, you need to understand the reasons:

    1. Nutrition. One of the most common reasons why the system does not open or close the car doors, locks the engine, making it impossible to start, is power. In this case, the system may not respond to pressing the key fob buttons, and the turn signals also do not turn on. Or the car alarm starts performing actions that you did not specify. Drivers often think that the signaling itself is malfunctioning or broken - first of all, it is necessary to diagnose the remote control, in particular the batteries. If you take the remote apart and change the battery, it only takes a few minutes. One of the signs that the battery is running low is that the light on the remote control begins to blink dimmer, and the device opens the car doors with a shorter range. Also, the reason why the remote control does not work can be due to liquid getting on the device.
    2. The problem is in the wiring. If the alarm in the car does not work, the device blocks the engine and does not allow the unit to be unlocked and started, this may indicate a faulty wiring in the car. In this case, the car’s turn signals may also refuse to work. Moreover, problems with wiring can affect many motorists, regardless of whether the alarm system is installed expensive or cheap. As a result of exposure to external factors, contacts in connections will always oxidize. So, if the system locks and does not allow the car doors to be unlocked, do-it-yourself repairs always begin with checking the electrical circuit.
    3. The computer needs to be rebooted. When the alarm in the car does not work, the diode lamp may burn brightly, but does not react in any way to pressing. If this is the case, then repairing the immobilizer system yourself begins with identifying the causes. The central unit may freeze, because it is a computer in any case, and if the immobilizer malfunctions and does not allow the engine to start, the first thing you should try is to restart the computer. You should try to disconnect the battery, that is, de-energize the system for a few minutes, and then reconnect the battery. If after this the car’s turn signals begin to blink, which is possible, then the problem was precisely the need to reboot.
    4. Fuse malfunctions. The reason is that the fuse has blown. In the event that the system is blocked and does not allow the engine to start, the car’s turn signals do not work, the immobilizer is faulty, it is quite reasonable to think that the alarm system in the car is broken. But sometimes problems with alarms can be caused by failed fuses. When diagnosing elements, it would be advisable to check the fuses and turn signals, that is, the light alarm. Sometimes turn signals may not work due to a failed relay or fuse. If everything is in order with the turn signals in the car and with the fuses too, then you can try to ring the wiring on the negative side, but this method is relevant if you know where the signaling unit is installed.
    5. Errors in or shock sensor. It often happens that when a car body hits a door, the system does not work. This does not mean that the immobilizer is faulty, but indicates that the shock sensor is incorrectly configured or the system is not installed correctly in principle. It may be that the sensor is installed incorrectly. In such cases, it makes sense to configure the regulator yourself.
    6. Immobilizer sensitivity. It may happen that the system has blocked the car doors, but the siren turns on frequently and without reason. In this case, the reason, again, may be the need to adjust the shock sensor, in particular, it will be necessary to reduce its sensitivity. If the sensitivity is too high, the system may turn on randomly even from the wind.
    7. Loss of signal between the key fob and the electromagnetic drive of the device. The remote control of the car's anti-theft system works in normal mode, but the alarm does not allow opening the doors and starting the engine. If this is the case and you cannot open the doors and start the engine, then the cause of the problem may be the loss of the signal between the key fob and the electromagnetic drive of the device. If the electrical circuit is intact, and when you apply current to the drive, it starts and operates, then you need to conduct a thorough diagnosis of the central unit of the system. Perhaps it is the unit that supplies the wrong impulse to start the system and lock the car doors.
    8. Broken wiring. It often happens that the car doors close, the engine starts and immobilizer repair is not required, but the anti-theft system does not work correctly. In particular, it arms the vehicle, but when you try to open the car, the siren will not work. There is a possibility that no current is passing through the siren unit; it is quite possible that the problem is a break and you need to identify and eliminate it. Identifying the cause of a wiring break on your own can sometimes be problematic, especially if you have never encountered such a problem.
