In general, a diesel engine is much more advanced, so to speak, than a gasoline engine. Previously, a Polish engine was installed on SUVs, but after the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant developed its ZMZ-514 series in the early 2000s, they began installing domestic power units, since they were not only not inferior to imported ones, but even superior to them.
The diesel engine is equipped with a turbocharger and is equipped with direct fuel injection, which gives it the opportunity to have fuel consumption previously unattainable for an SUV from the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, somewhere in the region of 10 liters per 100 kilometers.

Interior
