Replacing a Qashqai size lamp
Replacing a low beam bulb in a Nissan Qashqai headlight will take no more than 15 minutes, and only if your bulb on the battery side has burned out. In the headlights, the low and high beam lamps are equipped with an H7 55W socket, which, unlike the H4, are not fixed with a bracket, but are turned a quarter turn in the grooves, which makes the procedure for changing burnt-out lamps in the Qashqai headlights even faster.
Possible causes of re-burnout
If after replacing the lamps burned out too quickly, this could have happened for the following reasons:
- The voltage regulator in the generator is faulty, the voltage is fluctuating, the brushes may have fallen off.
- The quality of the lamps themselves can be poor, as they are often counterfeited.
- Too much current in the lighting circuit.
- When installing the lamp, they touched it with their hands.
- The problem is in the fuse box.
A faulty light in a car can cause an accident in which people may be injured. In addition, such a car will not be able to undergo mandatory maintenance. As a rule, in the event of a traffic accident, the driver whose lighting devices do not work or do not meet the required parameters is often found guilty. Therefore, responsibility for the condition of the lighting devices lies entirely with the car owner.

How to replace a Qashqai low beam lamp
- We find a black round cover behind the headlight.
- Let's open it.
- The light bulb is removed, along with the connector, by turning it counterclockwise;
- Then we pull the lamp out of the electrical connector.
- Carefully place the new one and install it in place.
See the photo for a clear picture of the entire process of replacing the H7 low/high beam bulb on a Nissan Qashqai.
In the manual, the diagram for replacing low and high beam lamps on a Qashqai looks like this. Which at first glance is a completely trivial matter, but in practice it is a little more complicated (although not by much).
on the right side (opposite the front passenger) it will be a little easier to get to the light bulb, but on the left (opposite the driver) to make it easier to get to the headlight bulbs, you will have to raise the air intake. And it is attached with two clips.
The clips are double and you don’t need to try to pull them out by prying them with a flat screwdriver near the intake, you need to immediately pry it in the middle to remove the inner part,
and then we remove the rest of the clip without any problems.
We lift the air intake up (perhaps someone will want to remove it completely for convenience).
Unscrew the black plastic cover on the back of the headlight counterclockwise.
We can already see the Qashqai low beam bulb. There is no fixing bracket there; we simply turn the lamp together with the connector slightly counterclockwise and remove it.
Now all that remains is to remove the lamp from their electrical connector.
We took out the lamp and put a new one in its place.
We install the same one as it was (original Osram).
When installing a new light bulb into the socket, you should NOT, under any circumstances touch the glass with your bare hands ; wear gloves, or simply hold the H7 light bulb with a napkin as in the photo.

Removal and installation sequence
Replacing the low beam lamp on a Nissan Qashqai will take no more than 20 minutes and will not require additional adjustment of the light beam angle. To replace it yourself, you need to follow the steps sequentially:
- Open the car hood.
- Using a screwdriver or knife, carefully remove the clips securing the air duct.
- Disconnect the air intake pipe and move it away from the work site.
- Remove the cover from the back of the Qashqai headlight.
- To remove the lamp, turn it counterclockwise and pull it towards the engine.
- Disconnect the chip with wires from the old part.
- Connect the plug to the new part and reassemble in reverse order.
Replacing the right lamp in Qashqai will not require additional removal of the air duct. To replace the marker lamp, turn the socket counterclockwise. The side light is located above the cover that covers the lamp.
Replacing the fog light bulb will require removing the front wheel and fender liners. This optics uses an H8 format part, 35 W.
When performing work on electrical appliances, Nissan recommends first removing the negative terminal from the battery.
How to replace a low beam lamp in a Nissan Qashqai
The car is equipped with the necessary lighting equipment, and low beam is usually used when it is necessary to well illuminate the road in front of the vehicle, but not blind drivers of oncoming cars.
Today we will deal with this problem step by step using a Nissan car. By acting carefully and following the work order, you will be able to restore the vehicle’s functionality in a short time and there will no longer be any complaints against it from the police.
Light sources and their choice
People always strive to buy something of high quality, but at a reasonable price. Therefore, we will highlight the models that will be the best option for installation:
- MTF Palladium.
- Bosch plus90.
- Bosch Blur Vision Ultra.
- Koito.
- Philips Diamond Vision.
- Philips H7.
When comparing products, a huge difference in price will be noticeable. If you don’t like anything from the list, you can use others.
There are a huge number of different lighting devices on the market. But do not forget that not everything expensive will be of high quality. You need to carefully check every product you purchase. The operation of the machine depends on this. Give preference to certified auto parts stores.
Preparation
We hope that your workshop has all the appropriate tools to carry out various repairs, but in this case you will only need:
Flat-head screwdriver Use it to detach the plastic clips of the air filter pipe. Cotton gloves For installing the light bulb so as not to touch its glass bulb and thereby extend the service life of the product.
The materials you will need are a low beam lamp for a Nissan Qashqai. The most commonly used is Osram H7 12V 55W.
Tip: Place the car on a level surface and secure the wheels with a gear, handbrake, or place a “shoe” so that it does not suddenly start moving. Don’t forget to turn off the ignition and remove the “-” terminal from the battery.
What is low beam used for?
Before moving on to the process of installing a new light bulb in the headlight, we will find out whether it is needed at all or whether it can be done without it. Typically, low beam is needed to sufficiently illuminate a small area of the road or shoulder.
When it is turned on, the light beam is directed downwards and towards approaching vehicles.
There are two main designs:
- a separate headlight, for example, as in the wiring diagram of the VAZ-2103 (this arrangement is now extremely rare);
- a lamp having two filaments installed in the headlamp.
The very important significance of low beam is that its factory adjustment prevents blinding oncoming vehicle drivers, so with its help you can safely pass in certain areas.
At the same time, the low beam light bulb on the Nissan Qashqai is not used at high speed, since the limited coverage area sharply narrows the possibilities for safe driving of the car.
Therefore, in this case, you should switch to high beam, and when the vehicle approaches at a distance of 100-200 m, switch to it, restoring high beam after passing.
Advice: starting from 2010, low beams must be used in the country both on highways and within city limits, according to traffic regulations.
Low beam doesn't come on
What can happen in this case when the low beam in the Nissan Qashqai is not on:
- the coil on the lamp burned out;
- the Nissan Qashqai low beam fuse has deteriorated, F5 - for the left, F6 - for the right;
- wire break in the on-board electrical circuit;
- The lamp is not installed correctly in the socket.
Tuning options
More opportunities are provided by external tuning of the car: covers for headlights, bumpers, sills.
Optical tuning provides many opportunities. It is important to choose the right alternative optics so as not to deteriorate the quality of lighting and not spoil the appearance of the car. A popular tuning is the installation of daytime running lights. Particular attention should be paid to the fog lights. First of all, they must perform their functions efficiently: illuminate the road in bad weather conditions.
To improve lighting in bad weather, a headlight washer is installed. The kit includes a fluid reservoir, pump, nozzles, hoses, control unit. can be stationary or telescopic type. In addition, it can be single or double. It is important to take into account the design of the car when choosing a headlight washer. For example, a headlight washer nozzle can be for a spherical or for a flat bumper surface.

Congratulations to future walkers. If the kashak has curtains in the lenses, then the resso will illuminate the space. From experience I can say that ice in kashak lenses does not shine, especially in fog. You need to use different lenses for ice.
Not at all. Why would there be problems with gays? Installing LED lamps is not a vehicle modification. Non-factory installed xenon is prohibited. The main thing in the distribution of luminous flux is how the light falls on the road (this is determined at the stand). And this is determined by choosing the lamp size, i.e. The point where the LED is located should coincide with the glow point of the halogen “spiral”. The point is to prevent oncoming drivers from being dazzled, and not to simply ban the type of lamp. Current models of the same Qashqai, with the same lensed headlights, are already available with LED lamps. By the way, the lens itself does not allow the light to shine “incorrectly”. You install high-brightness halogens on your cars, right? The limitation was mainly caused by power consumption only. For such a luminous flux of 2500 lm, the power of the halogen lamp should be 100-110 W, and it is generally not clear how to remove heat from such a lamp. The reflector will burn out instantly from such a glow. Here the lamp power consumption = 25 W, less than half the factory value = 55 W. The load on the generator drops accordingly... As for the “hucksters got scammed” - this is your choice of “price-quality”. These lamps are guaranteed for 2 years. This model does not have an active cooler with bearings. Theoretically, there is nothing to break there. Operation will show practical timing. In the meantime, I'm enjoying the good light on the track. PS Here is an interesting article on types of lamps - the choice is yours wesemshop.ru/articles/far...ogen-ili-svetodiodyi.html
Replacing bulbs Nissan Qashqai J10
Before starting work, be sure to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. You will also need to prepare tools: a small screwdriver with a flat blade and a Phillips of medium length, a socket wrench for ten. To extend the life of the light bulb, gloves should be used during installation. Direct contact with the glass of the light elements is accompanied by the formation of greasy stains. As the flashlight heats up, the glass will darken at the point of contact. If you don’t have cotton gloves, after installing the light bulbs you will need to wipe the glass with alcohol.
Replacing turn signal bulbs in a Qashqai headlight
To change the light element of the turn signal in the front left headlight of the Nissan Qashqai, you will need to dismantle the air duct. When replacing the right turn signal light, additional removal of various components is not required. At the same time, replacing the Qashqai low beam bulb and the high beam bulb will require similar initial operations.
To dismantle the Nissan Qashqai air duct you will need:
- disengage the two clips that hold the air duct using a flat blade screwdriver;
- disconnect the air collector pipe from the plastic casing with the air filter;
- All that remains is to remove the air collector and subsequently install it in the reverse order.
After obtaining the necessary space for the left headlamp, you need to unscrew the socket with the turn signal light element. To do this, it rotates to the left at an angle of ninety degrees. The light component is removed in the same way. In the future, it remains to install the new element in the reverse order.
Changing the lantern in the right headlight is carried out according to an identical scheme.
Replacing side light bulbs
To remove the old light element of the dimensions, you will need to turn the socket as the hand on the clock moves. Subsequently, the lamp without a base is pulled out of the socket, and a new one is then installed in the reverse order.
Replacing low beam bulbs Qashqai J10
The Qashqai low beam lamp is replaced after removing the special protective rubber casing from the headlight unit. After this, the cartridge is rotated in the opposite direction to the clockwise movement and removed. The old light element is dismantled and a new one is installed, following the reverse procedure.
Changing high beam lamps
The Qashqai J10 main road lighting lamp is also hidden under a protective rubber casing. After removing it, the cartridge is rotated counterclockwise and removed from the headlamp. Subsequently, the old high beam lamp is dismantled and a new one is installed using gloves.
Replacing Qashqai side turn signal bulbs
To remove a failed side turn signal light element, you will need to perform the following steps:
- to remove the turn signal from the front wings of the Nissan Qashqai, you need to press the turn signal towards the headlights and remove it from its seat;
- the side turn signal housing will be held on a socket with wiring;
- by turning the socket, the turn signal cover is disengaged, which gives access to the light bulb;
- the light element is extracted by pulling;
- In the future, all you have to do is insert the new light bulb in the reverse order.
Which companies should you trust?
The following types of lamps are used in Nissan Qashqai:
- near module – H7, 55 W;
- long-range module – H7, 55 W;
- side light – W5W, 5 W;
- direction indicator – PY21W, 21 W.
The Qashqai low beam bulb is not considered rare and can be found in every auto parts store. When choosing, you should trust only well-known manufacturers:
- Philips;
- Osram;
- Koito.
Particular attention should be paid to lamps from Koito and Osram. Philips LongLife EcoVision are inexpensive and durable lamps that do an excellent job of lighting in fog and snow.
Lamps used in Qashqai
In this section we will answer the following question - what kind of light bulbs are used on Nissan Qashqai? The following shows the markings and power of the lighting components used on the Qashqai J10:
- H7 power (P) 55 W - two-contact cylindrical halogen flashlight for low and high beam;
- H8 (H11 depending on the specific configuration of the Qashqai). P = 55 W – L-shaped halogen light element with two contacts and a plastic base for fog lights;
- PY21W Р = 21 W – lights with orange glasses and a base with one contact for completing the front and rear turn signals, reverse and PTF lights;
- W5W with a power of 5 W and one contact, which is used to illuminate the interior, trunk and license plate. The glass has a yellow tint for use in side direction indicators;
- P21/5W Р = 21/5 W – a flashlight with two working spirals to ensure the operation of the brake light and side lights.

Any owner of a Nissan Qashqai car, sooner or later, is faced with one of the moments of necessary maintenance, lamp replacement. This problem can take you by surprise, for example, when a person is on a long trip, in the dark and there is no service station nearby. The only correct solution in this situation may be independent. To do this, you must always have H7 low beam lamps available.
Usually, before performing work of this nature, it is advisable to take the car to a car wash, or at least wash the adjacent parts of the body from dirt. Many people mistakenly assume that changing a light bulb is very simple and the whole procedure takes very little time. For a person who has encountered such a problem for the first time, who is not familiar with the design features of a Japanese car, it will be quite difficult to independently replace a light bulb.
