Volvo SRS emergency airbag service is activated if the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) malfunctions. This means that the airbags will not deploy if you are in an accident.

Common reasons
Carrying out electrical work with a connected battery
Disabling components such as the stereo, seat, airbag, airbag sensor without disconnecting the battery is one of the most common reasons for the Volvo SRS warning to appear.

Disconnection of electrical connectors of the SRS system
Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and remove the ground wire from the battery. After this, at least 3 minutes must pass before work begins.
