  2. Dexron III oil can be used to service gearboxes where Dexron II was present, provided that the new ATF fluid has more friction modifiers. Replacement is not possible.
  3. The replacement of the second “Dextron” with the third is not carried out if the box does not reduce the coefficient of friction with increased efficiency of the modifiers.
